Slurry-Rated Centrifugal Transfer-Pump Skid
Purpose
Transfer screened, characterized slurry through a dedicated abrasion-tolerant pump rather than conventional clean-water hardware.
Operating concept
A solids-handling centrifugal pump with replaceable wet-end components draws from a conditioned reservoir and supplies a closed test or approved delivery circuit.
Key assemblies
solids-handling centrifugal pump; replaceable impeller/liner; priming system; suction strainer; motor/engine drive; pressure/flow spool; relief/bypass; drain and washdown
Operating sequence
verify particle envelope → prime with water → start at bounded condition → introduce characterized slurry → monitor flow/load/vibration → return or discharge to contained circuit → water-flush and inspect
Instrumentation
intake/discharge pressure; flow; vibration or motor load; bypass state
Safeguards
pressure relief; rated hose/couplings; isolation and depressurization; wear inspection points
Failure modes and mitigations
cavitation; erosion; seal failure; loss of prime; suction blockage
Variants
electric skid; hydraulic-drive skid; trailer pump; submersible solids pump; lined end-suction test pump
Validation gates
closed-loop pressure test; leak/coupling review; abrasion trial; fail- safe bypass and purge
Claim boundary
CLAIM BOUNDARY: No certified design, validated recipe, performance guarantee, regulatory approval, or authorization for uncontrolled-fire use is represented.
Unverified concept for qualified research. Not certified equipment, not a validated formula, not fabrication instructions, and not authorization for active-fire use. Individual conventional components are not claimed as separately invented.
