Water-Only Bypass and Failover Manifold

Hydraulic protection and transferLocal and prepared materialAll delivery systemsWater-only bypass relevant
Protected transferWater-only bypassApply streamStop / purgeSCHEMATIC PROCESS ORDER — NOT TO SCALEWater-only comparison and failover retained throughout.

Purpose

Allow immediate transition to water-only flow and isolate the solids path during a clog, sensor fault, power loss, or operator stop.

Operating concept

A normally available water path runs parallel to the injection/mixing path; mechanically clear valve indication and a safe-state actuation scheme favor water-only operation.

Key assemblies

parallel water leg; slurry leg isolation; three-way or paired valves; position indicators; manual override; pressure equalization; drains; purge cross-connect

Operating sequence

establish water-only route → verify valve indication → enable slurry leg for bounded test → detect stop condition → isolate slurry → maintain/restore water flow → purge isolated leg

Instrumentation

intake/discharge pressure; flow; vibration or motor load; bypass state

Safeguards

pressure relief; rated hose/couplings; isolation and depressurization; wear inspection points

Failure modes and mitigations

valve misalignment; common-mode blockage; actuator power loss; pressure surge; ambiguous indication

Variants

manual manifold; pneumatic safe-state; electric actuator with manual override; dual-outlet selector; remote crawler manifold

Validation gates

closed-loop pressure test; leak/coupling review; abrasion trial; fail- safe bypass and purge

Claim boundary

CLAIM BOUNDARY: No certified design, validated recipe, performance guarantee, regulatory approval, or authorization for uncontrolled-fire use is represented.

Unverified concept for qualified research. Not certified equipment, not a validated formula, not fabrication instructions, and not authorization for active-fire use. Individual conventional components are not claimed as separately invented.
