Recirculating Slurry Conditioning Tank
Purpose
Maintain suspension, measure stability, and supply a consistent test stream from a prepared batch without continuous raw-feed collection.
Operating concept
A slurry-rated recirculation loop draws from a baffled tank, returns through directed jets, and provides a controlled takeoff to the delivery/test circuit.
Key assemblies
baffled reservoir; slurry-rated recirculation pump; return jet manifold; takeoff valve; density/pressure spool; sample loop; settling cone; flush connection
Operating sequence
load documented batch → begin low-energy recirculation → verify stable measurements → open controlled takeoff → return unused flow → sample over time → recover solids and flush
Instrumentation
water flow; mineral feed rate; ratio proxy; mixed-stream pressure
Safeguards
preserve water-only bypass; prevent dry running; provide sample, drain, and clean-water purge points
Failure modes and mitigations
settling dead zones; air entrainment; pump wear; tank vortex; uncontrolled drain
Variants
single tank; dual alternating tank; IBC tote skid; cone-bottom tank; stationary test reservoir
Validation gates
water-only baseline; ratio repeatability; settling/bridging trial; complete purge demonstration
Claim boundary
CLAIM BOUNDARY: No certified design, validated recipe, performance guarantee, regulatory approval, or authorization for uncontrolled-fire use is represented.
Unverified concept for qualified research. Not certified equipment, not a validated formula, not fabrication instructions, and not authorization for active-fire use. Individual conventional components are not claimed as separately invented.
