Annular Downstream Injection and Mixing Collar
Purpose
Introduce a prepared side-stream slurry around or into a conventional water line downstream of the protected main pump.
Operating concept
An annular ring or multi-port sleeve injects metered slurry into the water stream through distributed ports; a removable static-mixing section promotes blending before the hose/nozzle.
Key assemblies
rated water-line body; annular injection gallery; multiple replaceable ports; check valves; side-stream connector; static mixer cartridge; pressure taps; bypass and purge ports
Operating sequence
run water-only baseline → pressurize approved side stream → open injection gradually → blend through static section → monitor differential pressure → close side stream → purge collar and downstream line
Instrumentation
water flow; mineral feed rate; ratio proxy; mixed-stream pressure
Safeguards
preserve water-only bypass; prevent dry running; provide sample, drain, and clean-water purge points
Failure modes and mitigations
port plugging; reverse flow; pressure mismatch; mixer erosion; coupling incompatibility
Variants
annular ring; radial multi-port sleeve; tangential swirl collar; replaceable mixer spool; large-diameter manifold
Validation gates
water-only baseline; ratio repeatability; settling/bridging trial; complete purge demonstration
Claim boundary
CLAIM BOUNDARY: No certified design, validated recipe, performance guarantee, regulatory approval, or authorization for uncontrolled-fire use is represented.
Unverified concept for qualified research. Not certified equipment, not a validated formula, not fabrication instructions, and not authorization for active-fire use. Individual conventional components are not claimed as separately invented.
