Runoff Capture and Mobile Dewatering Module
Purpose
Intercept slurry runoff from a controlled test plot and reduce its volume for sampling, reuse research, or approved disposal.
Operating concept
Temporary berms and sumps direct runoff to a vacuum or pump module; staged screens, settling, or dewatering separate reusable water from retained solids only under a written environmental plan.
Key assemblies
temporary impermeable berm; sump; screened vacuum pickup; transfer pump; settling/dewatering unit; sample ports; storage tanks; level alarms
Operating sequence
line test plot → route runoff to sump → recover before overflow → screen and settle → sample streams → store water/solids → close site after inspection
Instrumentation
process temperature or recovery level; flow; containment status; stop condition
Safeguards
contained research only where stated; prevent uncontrolled discharge; define waste and recovery route
Failure modes and mitigations
berm failure; overflow; erosion; contaminant concentration; cross- site organism transport
Variants
portable berm; vacuum trailer; dewatering bag; filter press research module; closed recirculation plot
Validation gates
contained bench trial; thermal/material compatibility; recovery efficiency; environmental disposition review
Claim boundary
CLAIM BOUNDARY: No certified design, validated recipe, performance guarantee, regulatory approval, or authorization for uncontrolled-fire use is represented.
Unverified concept for qualified research. Not certified equipment, not a validated formula, not fabrication instructions, and not authorization for active-fire use. Individual conventional components are not claimed as separately invented.
