Fireline and Trench Applicator

Application and deliveryLocal and prepared materialContained field analogWater-only bypass relevant

Purpose

Place a controlled slurry layer into a prepared non-burning trench or fireline analog for retention, drying, and barrier research—not as an operational tactic instruction.

Operating concept

A low-mounted shoe, chute, or manifold deposits slurry at controlled depth and width behind a separately authorized earthworking platform.

Key assemblies

adjustable placement shoe; wide-passage chute; flow control; height/depth gauge; camera; breakaway mount; drip tray; wash manifold

Operating sequence

prepare contained line → measure geometry → run water trial → deposit controlled slurry → measure mass/coverage → observe drying/runoff → recover and clean

Instrumentation

flow and pressure; selected pattern or outlet mode; operator/remote stop

Safeguards

manage reaction force; avoid occupied-area use; provide clearing without hands entering the material path

Failure modes and mitigations

terrain strike; uncontrolled discharge; operator proximity; erosion/runoff; misuse as approved fireline tactic

Variants

trailing shoe; side-cast chute; trench injection manifold; fixed laboratory channel; robot-mounted line applicator

Validation gates

water-only pattern baseline; slurry reach/pattern test; clog-and-clear trial; operator human-factors review

Claim boundary

CLAIM BOUNDARY: No certified design, validated recipe, performance guarantee, regulatory approval, or authorization for uncontrolled-fire use is represented.

Unverified concept for qualified research. Not certified equipment, not a validated formula, not fabrication instructions, and not authorization for active-fire use. Individual conventional components are not claimed as separately invented.
