Dual-Channel Water/Slurry Nozzle

Application and deliveryLocal and prepared materialHandline/monitorWater-only bypass relevant
Protected transferWater-only bypassApply streamStop / purgeSCHEMATIC PROCESS ORDER — NOT TO SCALEWater-only comparison and failover retained throughout.

Purpose

Keep water and mineral side stream separate until the applicator, allowing independent control and a water-only fallback at the point of discharge.

Operating concept

Concentric or side-by-side channels discharge water and metered slurry through a mixing/impingement zone at or just beyond the nozzle body.

Key assemblies

water channel; slurry channel; independent check valves; selector/ratio control; mixing head; replaceable tips; pressure taps; purge port

Operating sequence

establish water channel → verify slurry channel pressure → enable bounded secondary flow → combine at outlet → observe pattern → close slurry first → water-purge head

Instrumentation

flow and pressure; selected pattern or outlet mode; operator/remote stop

Safeguards

manage reaction force; avoid occupied-area use; provide clearing without hands entering the material path

Failure modes and mitigations

channel imbalance; backflow; asymmetric reaction; outlet deposition; operator confusion

Variants

concentric; side-by-side; external impingement; air-assisted laboratory atomization; fixed-ratio test head

Validation gates

water-only pattern baseline; slurry reach/pattern test; clog-and-clear trial; operator human-factors review

Claim boundary

CLAIM BOUNDARY: No certified design, validated recipe, performance guarantee, regulatory approval, or authorization for uncontrolled-fire use is represented.

Unverified concept for qualified research. Not certified equipment, not a validated formula, not fabrication instructions, and not authorization for active-fire use. Individual conventional components are not claimed as separately invented.
